Western Instruments N88-9B-D-PIPE Digital Pipe Pit Gauge

The Digital Pipe Pit Gauge evolved from specific customer requests! With the Digital Pipe Pit Gauge, an inspector can evaluate 90% of all the Pitting he encounters. The Blade has a Centre Receptacle for those who prefer this centralized mounting configuration. The Blade is also equipped with a Cut Away below the End Receptacle, to allow the inspector to check corrosion right up to a weld, riser, or re-pad.

When Pipeline Inspectors would like to purchase our Digital Bridging Pit Gauge System, but their budget wont permit the higher cost, the answer is our Digital Pipe Pit Gauge, which is simply the Main Blade and Digital Indicator of our Digital Bridging Pit Gauge System. In the future, as the budget permits, the inspector can purchase the rest of the parts, and assemble a full Bridging Pit Gauge, however with the Digital Pipe Pit Gauge, an inspector can evaluate 90% of all the Pitting he encounters. The Digital Pipe Pit Gauge evolved from specific customer requests!
• The Digital Pipe Pit Gauge Kit comes in its custom made carrying case, with the Gauge (Digital Indicator and Blade), as well as the Accessories (Allan Key, Spare #1 Contact Point, Spare Battery, and Operator Manual). In this view, the Digital Indicator installed in the Centre Receptacle of the Blade for those who prefer this centralized mounting configuration.
• The view below is of the Digital Pipe Pit Gauge with the Digital Indicator installed in the End Receptacle. The Blade is equipped with a Cut Away below the End Receptacle, to allow the inspector to check corrosion right up to a weld, riser, or re-pad. Here the Gauge is measuring a 0.100 (2.4mm) nominal hole on Westerns standard N88-FBH Calibration Block.
